Elsa Peretti's Round collection is very interesting in that it is a very simple design with origins that date back many, many centuries.

My last article was about one of my favorite mass produced jeweley designers, Elsa Peretti. Specifically, I discussed her Round collection - sterling silver, karated gold and gemstone round pendants hung on either precious metal chains or black silk cord.

My next article will be a follow up article on Ms. Peretti, discussing her other jewelry designs and giving a brief outline of her design philospohy and her association with Tiffany & Co.

The sterling silver round pendant hung on black silk cord retails at Tiffany for $425. Theother pendants range in price dependent on the raw material used and whether or not diamonds are involved.

It's getting to be that time of year when I start thinking about my Christmas presents to friends and family. In my Akoya pearl instructions instructions last year I explained that each year I come up with one design to make and give as stocking stuffers for Christmas. This year I believe my design will be loosely based upon the Round pendant.

I'm in the process of breaking the instructions down to simple and easy. If that can be accomplished, I will also post the instructions in a 2 part series of articles in more than enough time for you to secure the raw materials and make the pendants in time for your holiday gift giving.

Also, last year the pictures that accompanies articles were limited to one. This year I will be able to post a full range of photos to accompany the instructions.
