The 6th annual CraftBoston presented by The Society of Arts and Crafts will take place this coming weekend March 30, 2007 through April 1, 2007 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, MA. 20% of the artists were invited to present at the show - the remaining 80% were selected through an open jury process.
One of the featured artists is Todd Reed, my favorite contemporary jewelry artist. This would be a perfect opportunity to see some of his raw diamond jewelry in the flesh.
175 artists will be showing their work. In addition to Reed, look for the work of jewelry artist Lisa Crowder. Crowder does a lot of work fabricating rings, earrings and brooches from oxidized metal domes - some with pearl accents.
Metal Werx, a very cool school of jewelry and metal arts, will also be showing some pieces made by students and faculty.
