It is hard to contemplate a wardrobe for Fall when it's only February and it is just so darn snowy in many parts of the country. None the less the fall fashions were presented in New York last week.
What's hot - simple dresses and pants, and in the case of Mizrahi - pants with a dress (or long tunics with pants) ala BBCs What Not to Wear. Plum, brown and black are once again popular colors as are yellow, gray and emerald green.
What does this mean jewelry wise? Well, most of the jewelry that you might have purchased for last fall and this spring and summer will migrate nicely in fall 2007. Remember the proliferation of amethyst being worn with purple gowns at many award shows last fall? Well, plum is a deep rich hue of purple so any amethyst jewelry you might have purchased will coordinate wonderfully.
Your gold chains will look quite elegant with the simple styling of fall's dresses. Gold is also the best precious metal to wear to coordinate with brown and taupe colors. Remember though that the simple styles of clothing being shown for fall 2007 can more than likely support more elaborate jewelry than say a poufy, ruffled top from the spring.
Chandelier earrings remain in vogue - the chunkier you can wear with your facial shape and features - the better. Of course, if you have very delicate features less ornate chandelier earrings will be in order. Hold the earrings up to your face and examine from many angles - make sure the earrings do not overwhelm your face.
