I've checked my print catalogs and here is current information regarding purchasing your setting to make your ring with bling:
Fire Mountain Gems - their Gemstone and Precious Metals Catalog 2006 - 2007 is the most current. On page 482 you can see all their sure-set basket style settings for rings - both in 14K yellow gold and sterling silver.
- Prices at Fire Mountain Gems: for example a 16x12mm sterling silver emerald cut basket is $14.87 while the 14K gold equivalent is $133.50.
- All the rings are pre-notched (this makes it very easy for you to set the gemstone) and are sized to about a size 6. If you ring finger is larger or smaller you will have to have it resized at a jeweler.
Jamming Gems does sell basket ring settings by size. They do not have a print catalog - you order directly from the website.
Rio Grande - their Gems and FIndings August 2006 - August 2007 is the most current. Their ring settings start on page 694 for sterling silver and on page 163 for the white and yellow gold settings. You can order from this vendor online but you have to order a print catalog first as your reference for item numbers.
