One annoying thing about putting live links in articles is the fact that they very often go dead. As a reader it is frustrating; as an author it is time consuming to regularly go back and check articles for bad links. In fact, as a textbook author I am discouraged by the publisher from putting too many internet resources within the body of the text.
Such is the case with my article about jewelry designer David Yurman. Went back to check the article and the Overstock.com link to their Yurman replica jewelry is no longer live. This is not too unusual - obviously this is a product that Overstock no longer has available.
I'm been doing some research trying to find other Yurman replica jewelry artists and just happened to have a conversation with jewelry designer Vivienne Chang at a recent show. She is expanding her design business into replica jewelry that specializes in designer replica jewelry but takes it back one step to the historical origin of the designs.
For example, Yurman's cable design is based upon ancient Egyptian designs and the Celtic Torc. Right now she is working on a twisted cable bracelet and a tasseled necklace.
As soon as the jewelry is ready to go and I have had a chance to examine a few pieces I will post some replica pictures in an article. Should be able to have some info up and running by August 1, 2007.
Until then - check out his fabulous jewelry at his website.
